Power Distribution

Power Distribution

Power distribution refers to the final stage in delivering electricity to individual consumers. It involves carrying electricity from the high-voltage transmission system to homes, businesses, and other end users. 1. Transmission System: Electricity is generated at power plants and sent over long distances through high-voltage transmission lines. 2. Distribution Substations: These substations receive the high-voltage electricity from the transmission system. Transformers within the substations step down the voltage to a medium voltage. 3. Primary Distribution Lines: These lines carry the medium voltage electricity from the substations to distribution transformers located closer to the customer's premises. 4. Distribution Transformers: These transformers further step down the voltage to the utilization voltage used by homes, businesses, and appliances. 5. Secondary Distribution Lines: These lines carry the low-voltage electricity to individual buildings and connect to the customer's electrical panel.
