Digital Sensing Transformers

An electronic device that transforms energy from one form to another is called a transducer. A voltage or signal output reaction is proportional to the change in the quantity which they are measuring. These are known as input type transducers. The kind or amount of output signal is dependent on the type of sensor being used. All types of sensors can be classified as active or passive sensors. In the case of a passive sensor, there is no need for additional power or voltage. The physical properties such as resistance or inductance are changed by passive sensors. Digital sensors are passive sensors or sensing coils that produce a discrete output in the form of digits such as logic level 0 or logic level 1. Digital sensing transformers are similar to current and voltage sensing coils. It basically measures the load voltage and currents. Ferrite coils which are used by Shah Electronics are used in digital sensing transformers. The main function of sensor coils is to measure and control technical changes. Shah Electronics manufactures the coils and inductors like ferrite coils, toroidal coils are used for the manufacture of transducers which in turn is needed for digital transformers.
