Earth Leakage Sensing

Earth leakage breaker current transformers are used for detecting when the current is leaking to the ground. Unintentional earth leakage occurs due to the insulation fault which allows current to leak from the life circuits to earth by the protective conductor. There could be a breakdown in the conductor insulation or moisture ingress among other causes.
