GFI CT
GFI circuits measure the variance in output current between the output leads. The variance in current between the two leads is the FAULT current. This FAULT current flows to the ground. The main purpose of the GFI current Transformers is to sense when there is a current seepage between the source of power and the grounded surface. It is manufacture to determine the amount of electricity making its way into the circuit is different from that which might be flowing out. The product which senses the leakage is simply a sensing coil made up of a nickel ring core. Small voltages are detected on the metal closures of electrical equipment which interrupt the circuit as per voltage is detected. Highly Sensitive GFI CTs are manufactured by Shah Electronics. Shah electronics is the chief producer of ferrite coils in India. It also manufactures toroidal coils, and various other electrical components used in different appliances.
